Panties can define us, regardless of our birth sex. They are also an excellent means to deliver a message. Have you ever said to yourself, “Oh my… if these panties could talk? Or think?” I have. Panties can be a unique and cute gift/souvenir to make anyone smile.

In 2011, I designed Thinking Panties® to offer a fun and different way to send a personal note. Initially, the brand had a thinking bubble or thinking heart vinyl shape on the front of the underwear, serving as a perfect surface to write on. The colorful package sold online and in many US and offshore stores contained a pair of cotton panties, a permanent marker (sometimes a pen), suggestions for creative ideas, and space to practice.

It was the first product created like that. Until then, everyone was used to the standard “statement underwear” found in many stores. You could also go online and find companies to order a customized pair of undies. However, no concept allowed “you” to write a message “right on the spot.”  The idea arose interest in national and international news media publications, and I was honored to be interviewed and talk about how and why Thinking Panties® was created.

Today, this creative idea is out to be shared! And with the many tools available now, like small electronic cutter machines and mini heat-presses, it is possible to decorate underwear to sell while making a minimum investment (back when I started, there were only industrial vinyl cutters such as Graphtech Craft Robo). The cool part is I will reveal many tricks and secrets I gathered along my company’s journey for you to take advantage of and enjoy.

Henri Matisse once said: “Creativity takes courage,” … And you, I’m sure, have both. Let’s get started!
